INSTRUCTION
Our vinyl letters are shipped ready to apply to your smooth surface. A mask is provided over the letters to make positioning letters easy. Just follow one of these methods below to have your sign installed.
CENTER HINGE METHOD
- Position legend with small pieces of masking tape. See figure 1
- Apply masking tape vertically through center of legend. See figure 2
- Remove tape from one end, lay legend over towards center tape hinge.
- Pull release liner away from application tape and legend until close to hinge.
- Cut release liner with scissors and discard.
- Squeegee down exposed half of legend, holding the end up and allowing the squeegee to cause contact.
- Remove the tape hinge and lay the other half over.
- Remove the rest of the release liner and squeegee into place
- Remove application tape. Application tape should be pulled slowly at 45 degrees to letters with old masking folded against letters. If you see any letters lifting with masking tape, squeegee letters again.
HORIZONTAL HINGE METHOD
- Position legend with small pieces of masking tape. See figure 1
- Apply masking tape horizontally across top of legend. See figure 3
- Remove both position tape at ends.
- Cut legend into smaller areas (vertically between letters). See figure 4
- Starting at right (if right handed), flip one section over and release liner.
- Wipe sign surface free of dust (which may have come from back of legend).
- Squeegee into place using one smooth downward stroke. Repeat for balance of legend.
- Re-squeegee using more pressure.
- Remove application tape. Application tape should be pulled slowly at 45 degrees to letters with old masking folded against letters. If you see any letters lifting with masking tape, squeegee letters again.
